Grading Methodology

Every A–F grade is derived from published benchmarks, not opinion. Here's exactly how each score is calculated — and where the numbers come from. The diagnostic and suggestions are based on our experience in SaaS B2Bs.

How grades work

Each calculator takes your inputs, computes the relevant metric, and maps the result to an A–F grade using the thresholds below. Thresholds are sourced from: Pavilion GTM Benchmarks, OpenView SaaS Benchmarks, Gartner B2B Research, SaaStr Annual Survey, and ChartMogul SaaS Growth Reports. If you disagree with a threshold, you're right to question it — these are median benchmarks, not universal laws.
